The fourth day of our adventure (October 18, 2026) started with the last session of the crop. It started at 7 a.m. again, though we didn’t get there quite that early, and lasted until 4 p.m. A lot of crafters started packing up right after lunch (sandwiches or vegetarian grain bowls) because they were driving home that afternoon. We weren’t leaving until the next morning so we kept working for awhile. I took a break from crafting to check out the displays. I love these sample layouts with pictures from the event — and they use the supplies we received when we arrived.
I didn’t want to do any more ink blending, so I used a stamp set and patterned paper I received from my aunt for my birthday, along with alcohol markers, to create four cute and colorful cards. I’m not sure if I’m going to use these cards myself or keep them together to gift as a set. (I didn’t have any embellishments with me at the retreat, but I did add some enamel dots when I got home.)
With the retreat wrapped up, we had a free evening. We had dinner at Fiesta Jalapeños, and naturally Penny found a couple of photo ops.
Back at the hotel we decided to craft in the lobby for a bit. (Well, Terry and Lisa crafted. I didn’t want to start anything new, so I worked on a puzzle book instead.) The gnomes wanted to join us, too.
Penny was especially adventurous/mischievous that evening. She even found the hotel pool.
I finally managed to get Penny upstairs, but the shenanigans continued. Even back in the room while I took a shower before heading to bed.
Eventually Penny tired herself out and we went to sleep (long after Terry and Lisa). Time to rest up for the trip home!
